Story making and story sharing – A Journey to the Sea – On The Way ....Part B

There’s lots to do before we get to the sea in this imaginary world of ours and lots of places to explore. Your maps will hold many clues. And there might be a sleeping bear in the forest ….. A smelly swamp to get through …. An ice field to slide along …. A lake to cross … you name it. Using drama and playmaking we’ll examine ways of encouraging children to invent, describe and play their way through adventures that you create together. And just as the last adventure finishes you will see the sea in the distance. You will see just enough to be able to create a picture of the sea together and to make a soundscape of the waves, the seabirds and the fishing fleet setting out on their voyage.
